Barbara Bellar, MD

Dr. Bellar is a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. After earning her medical degree from Centro de Estudios, Xochicalco in Mexico, Dr. Bellar completed her residency in family medicine at the University of Illinois and has been practicing since 1998.

Dr. Bellar is frequently invited to share her medical knowledge through talks and presentations. She is fluent in Spanish and English and enjoys employing an approach to patient care that marries traditional and complementary medicines. She also has special interest and expertise in women’s health issues, addiction management and end-of-life care.

Dr. Bellar sees patients in South Holland, Ill., at the MetroSouth Health Center at South Holland.
