All Kids and FamilyCare provide health insurance coverage to children, parents and pregnant women who are income eligible and meet other non-financial eligibility requirements. Members of our bilingual (English/Spanish) and culturally diverse outreach team are trained state insurance agents. Applications can be completed on site in the community or at MetroSouth Medical Center by appointment. A member of our team will follow up on the application process and assist in connecting the community member to a primary health care provider.

MetroSouth Medical Center has a special emphasis on health outreach in the Latino community, providing culturally sensitive health screenings, health education and access to healthcare in English and Spanish. The bilingual outreach staff also networks intensively in our Latino communities by participating on committees and boards. To provide needed services to small businesses in the community, we offer preventive health screenings and All Kids/Family Care state insurance plans on site at businesses to assist employers who otherwise cannot afford to provide health insurance for their employees.

MPE is also provided to uninsured pregnant women resulting in immediate eligibility to begin receiving prenatal care. This provides the opportunity for early prenatal care, resulting in better outcomes for expectant mothers and their babies.
